Default I am thinking of buying a used manual del sol.. How is it?

Hows the del sol? Is it reliable?
I am looking for the smallest lightest possible car that still looks good and is around my price range. Is this right for me?
Hows the gas mileage on this car?
I will be traveling a lot and driving for over 6 hours stright... will the engine be small enough to not overheat?

There's good cars and bad cars. Service records, condition, owner, mechanic check up, etc. all have a lot to do with how long your car will last for.

Nobody here knows you. Why would they be able to make a judgement call on whether or not it is right for you?

Test drive one, have it checked out, and determine whether it will be good for you.

Any Honda is very reliable, however it's only as reliable as you make it. Keep up with the routine maintenance and you're golden. I drove my Civic for over 10 hours straight a couple of months ago (and it hadn't been barely driven, but started normally in close to a year).

You won't be making a bad choice with the Del Sol, if the previous owners kept it in check.

I would definitely check the coolant/oil and other vital fluids before you embark on this trip. Other than that, I would just make sure everything is in good condition (breaks, headlights, turn signals). Also make sure you bring a good selection of music!

Maybe I missed it but what is your price range? Like a few other people have already mentioned, get the fluids checked (you may want to just change the oil), and check the brakes, signals, head & taillights an you should be good to go.
