Default hybrid turbo

Yeah I was wondering my 92 hatch has the ls in it if I were to do internals and turbo charge it I could theoretically boost at like 12-15 PSI. Now my friend has an eg with gsr motor if he does internals as well and we boost at the same isn't it a stronger gain in my hatch. I am wondering this because my other friend said that with vtec turbo isn't as good because it messes the vtec engaging up. Is there truth to this or no and another question. What type of internals would I be looking at forged pistons rods and rings valves and springs anything else (that is for the ls) and who should I get them from

Boost GSR makes more power hands down than a boosted LS, assuming all variables are controlled.
