humming sound?

Default humming sound?

Hey peeps
Im running a b16a2 in a 97 hatch...when my car falls below 1000 rpms or a bit more..i hear this hollow hummming sound? Then engine has 30 000KMS on it...do you guy sknow what may be causing this? It runns fine so im just curious to make sure its nothing serious

You'll have to be more specific on that. Where exactly is the humming coming from?

when my car did that, it was 2 weeks before a gear flew out of my trans.

I'm thinking it's a tranny problem, and the oil needs to be replaced, but he'll have to be more specific.

i don t really know where its coming from...when i drive it goes away but as soon as the tach goes below 1000rpm's i hear it...its not loud, if the radio is on you wont hear it, and some times its not there at all....I got a tranny sir (canada) tranny that came with the swap..the only thing that i changed was that im now using a GSR shifter linkage...

yeah, get your trans checked. take it to a shop.
all this stuff with my tranny possibly busting is makeing me scared

any other possibilities? ive hade this for 3-4 weeks ever since the swap went in

ill check the fluids checked out but my oil is only a month old
ill hope for the best tomorrow..cant afford a new tranny
