I’m sure the chipped p72 wasn’t looking for it and that’s why the code wasn’t thrown.

I haven’t had a chance to run the one wire. I’m stupid busy with work and class (Organic Chemistry’s a bitch). Hopefully this weekend though. I will update once the wire is run.

Thanks again.

^^^Honestly, you didn't have to buy another ecu. On your original chipped p72 all you have to was cut the jumper wire and it will read the stock basemap. Yes, pretty sure the chipped ecu was disabled for KS. If you wired the KS and it is still throwing the code, you might need a new KS. This happened to me and I fixed the problem but I failed at the BAR/REF station because I'm running rich. If you have a OEM GSR cat. can I borrow? Thanks haha.

I wired my friends 92 CX w/ B16A swap (stock JDM P30 ECU) exactly as shown on the previous page, yet his car is running rich as well. It barely passes the sniffer test on it's 2nd or 3rd try. I always question if the use of non-shielded wire from the shock tower down to the ECU causes problems. We don't have check engine lights or anything, but cars don't throw a CEL if the ECU hears a little knock.

Success! Wired it exactly like shown and my code 23 woes are over. ^^^ I had a virgin p72 laying around by coincidence... I figured I might need it someday. Thanks for your help folks.

So does one wire go to d3 and the other goes to ground?

the knock sensor is only one wire so there isn’t another wire to run.
