How to tighten 94 civic e-brake
ever since a friend of mine replaced my drums, it has not been the same. It just wont hold my car no more and the lever goes all the way up. Very loose. Have searched around but been unable to see a walk through or a diagram of some sort. Thanks for any help.

I would adjust the brake shoes up by turning the 'starwheel' on the rear brake assembly. This will give you more parking brake hold as well as get the car to stop faster.

It sounds like your brakes might not have been adjusted correctly after reinstalation.
Put the car in reverse in a large, open area, such as a parking lot. Get up to 5 MPH in reverse. Slam on the brakes. Repeat at 10 MPH, and once more at 15MPH. If that doesn't solve the problem, the brake shoe self adjuster might be installed incorrectly.

Re: How to tighten 94 civic e-brake
A diagram for this or write up? I can adjust the start wheel from the back to where there will be a slight drag but when i pull the ebrake lever up, it doesn't do anything. Pulling the ebrake lever only stops the driver side. I am stumped on the passenger side. Help please!
