Replaced drums and now parking brake's not working.
94 civic vx
Just recently replaced both my rear drums the whole kite and my parking brake isn't working anymore. I read about reversing and pulling your parking brake and that should adjust the parking brake? Any other stuff I should look at? I adjusted the handle to where its around 7-8 clicks when before i did my brakes, it was really high up.

Re: Replaced drums and now parking brake's not working.
When i got done replacing the drum brake, my parking brake handle had no slack until i adjusted the handle but now, it doesn't even catch anymore!
Did the reverse thing and nothing happened. I'm stumped!

you probably need to adjust your shoes. more than likely your back brakes are not working at all. or maybe you didnt reconnect your parking brake cable

Sounds like you need to adjust the shoes, the auto adjusters might not be working and you will have to adjust the shoes manually and see if you can find the problem with the auto set-up.

im having the same problem. i pulled the drums off and had my friend pull the lever, and it expanded like normal, but it doesn't catch.

You sure you put the parking brake lever in the drums back on right? It's easy to put it on backwards if you're not paying attention...well at least thats what happened to me. haha.

Re: Replaced drums and now parking brake's not working.
This is the passenger side. Double triple checked that "clevis a" is making contact and seated correctly against the brake shoe and parking brake lever, but when the parking brake is pulled, nothing happens.
Driver side is okay cause I can actually see the brake shoe move outwards when the parking brake is pulled, but not for the passenger side. I'm so stumped now and not looking forward to having to take this to a shop......

I have a similar problem with mine as well. Brake does not do anything noticeable when its pulled, kind of annoying
