How to remove the header studs?
Hey,
I did a search on this topic and posted in another web board and I got some help, but not exactly what I needed. Anyways, I am going to replace the studs that stick out of the block where you slide the header over to bolt on. There are 9 studs...only problem is...I cannot get the old ones out FOR ****. 4 or 5 of them are totally stripped (I know, I'll admit those were my fault ). I've tried vise-grips, wrenching it out, hammering and trying to drill them out but it doesn't work, they are like seized or something. I am probably getting my GReddy turbo kit soon and I need to get them out for the new manifold. I don't want any leaking kinda problems or noise...it needs to be 100% working...any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

take two nuts and put them on the studs, then tighten them against eachother. Then use the nut on the head side of the stud to remove the stud with a wrench.

what he said! good luck, hopefully you didn't stip them off so bad that you can't fit a nut on them...then your gonna have to use some force..

when trying to remove it.. when i wrench the 1st bolt CCW, it rotates the 2nd bolt CCW so they both come off the stud.

You need 2 wrenches. You've got to hold one of the nuts with 1 wrench while you "jam" the other nut against it with the other.

put the first one on, put the next one on, with two wrenches loosen the first one and tighten the second one, they will lock together, then loosen the first nut,
