Default How Reliable Is This Timing Belt Kit?

27,000 posts, and 90,000 miles later I think it's about time for me to change my timing belt.

What do you guys think about this kit?

http://www.mizumoauto.com/product/view/id/501

Reliable, or is it better to dish it out for the Genuine Honda belt?

for something like a timing belt...go with OEM or something well known like GATES, its not worth a belt snapping and then neding to have your head rebuilt...

Yeah for sure.

What all do you recommend changing along with it?

Tensioner (Part No. 14510-P08-003)

Water Pump (Part No. 19200-P08-003)

It more than likely will, if not you could go to your local auto parts store and pick one up. I can't think of any more parts you would need, if you really want to just put a new part in though, maybe a new timing belt cover.

I know you said you already ordered your stuff but thougt I'd share this anyway.

You can get an exact OEM belt and tensioner from the supplier that actually makes them for Honda for a lot less. The Honda belt is actually a Gates (~$23 on Amazon vs. $31 Majestic Honda) and the tensioner is made by NSK (~$27 on Amazon vs. $45 at Majestic Honda). These aren't OEM-similar, they are exactly OEM, just not sold in a Honda package.
