Which Timing Belt Kit?
I'm approaching the point where I need to get my timing belt changed, and I might as well do that water pump.
I'm getting a timing belt and water pump kit from here:
http://www.tomaseuroautoparts.com/hondacooling.htm
Is this the right one to buy?
Civic Water Pump and Timing belt Kit.
Includes the timing belt tensioner.
96-00 1600 SOHC. $89.00
I have a 97 EX w/ VTEC.
Approximately how much should I expect to pay if I get a shop to change it for me?

Yep, that'll do it....
The OEM part #'s, between the timing belt and water pump, match exactly for both the VTEC and non-VTEC engines.

None that I know of. Was there something specific that you read somewhere that there maybe some performance gain by using a certain belt?
I'd stick with OEM - even people who run really stiff springs in their valvetrain use the OEM belt, so I don't think there is much merit in buying a 'stronger' belt, if you were coming from that angle.
