how much work to put VTEC sohc motor on non-vtec block
i'm not lookin for life here cuz i have a b16 sittin in my room but i just wanna see how much i can get out of the sohc for the hell of it, i know i would probably need Headgasket, and is there any way to make vtec work without a vtec ECU

I believe that he is referring to a Mini-me setup. A z6 or y8 head on a non vtec block. You can get the vtec to activate with a rpm activated switch if you dont have a vtec ecu.

RPM-activated switches are only good for VTEC, but what about the fuel and timing issues?
The correct ECU will run the motor correctly. Just buy the correct ECU and don't half-*** it with an RPM switch. There really is a difference, but I suppose if you come across a really cheap RPM switch and you're just bored, try it.
