how hard is swappin from under car???
anyone with experience in using this methor in swapping??? ive done a swap from top before with a cherry picker and its not too bad but ive heard in some ways its easier from bottom...i guess my real question is how do you get the car high enough to fit the motor under it (EG hb/ B18 swap)...any thoughts??? im doing my swap this weekend and would like to get some input on which way i should approach.

IT seems the only way to do that woudl be with a lift. The problem then becomes how do you support and then safely lower the motor. Whats wrong with the cherry picker method?

nah it is not hard you just have to have some jack stand for a big truck and alot of 2 by 4's to get the jack to jack the car up higher (nail the wood together or else they can come apart) then once the car is high enough push the motor under and lower the car on top of it. worx like a charm

i did it with 2, 3 ton jacks
jack up enough to remove axles and all that, remove linkage and exhaust man, and loosen mounts. lower car so the jacks bottom out (can go any lower) leave the jacks under the car and push some phone books under the oil pan till the motor is sitting on them. now remove the mounts and let the motor sit on the books... jack the car back up as high as it needs to be.. and slide the motor out the front of the car. its that easy
