Thats kinda how it should be.
You can lower the engagment point by playing the the clutch mc rod at the top of the pedal. I HIGHLY suggest you leave it the hell alone.

If you want to test if the clutch doesnt grab, however, start driving down the road at like 10-15mph and throw it into 5th gear.
If it bogs, your clutch works fine.
If it slips and your rpm's are high, its bad

Yeah I was also going to add that you can try to start acelerating from a dead stop in third gear - if the car boggs, or even shuts off then the clutch still grabs good. If the rpms actually climb some, then the clutch is slipping.

That or the 5th gear at 10-15mph is a good way to check too.

I'd say take the car to a safe, non traffic area and try to bo a burn-out BRIEFLY but if the clutch is worn then that could literally kill it dead right then and there.

Trying to take off in third gear is the test I've always used. I don't recomend trying to do a burnout though

lol I would not recommend doing a burnout if you even think your clutch can possibly be worn. Try the 3rd gear test from a stop. When it starts going out it goes really quick so be gentle with it until you can replace it.

I think the clutch would need to be super worn for it to slip that bad.
