How to adjust when car is running lean
My friend drove my car and says that the car is running lean and is probably tuned to save gas. He says that there is like a screw which I can adjust to increase the fuel/air ratio. Is that true? If yes, how to do it?

hmmm....can you explain what it is? I just know that the oxygen sensors were just replaced before I bought the car.
We test drove a 98 DX sedan which has the same engine and that one is actually running stronger and seems to have more power. If it cannot be adjusted, then what can be adjusted to make it have more power? Also, is he talking about the throttle cover that is wired to the gas pedal? What will happen if it is adjusted without changing the oxygen sensors?

that is your throttle cable.. do not adjust that.. unless you want a idle of 3000 RPm's..
if the motor is stock let it be cause im pretty sure its running fine.

Your friend is retarted. I seriously doubt you are running lean on a stock motor, and if you are, there is something wrong and the car would run like complete ****.

Your friend is most likely talking about the throttle body idle adjustment screw which increases your idle. It increases air/fuel mixture which raises your idle. You want close to stock idle. If you're getting vibrations you might want to increase it a little but make sure you stay close to stock. If you DO increase it follow the proper idle adjustment procedure. You have to have the car warmed up, service connector jumped, etc.

Re: (civic_driver)
or is it just because the gas pedal is less sensitive (need to press deeper to get throttle)? If yes, how to you adjust it? Also what is the correct idle? 600rpm?
