How accurate is GSR cluster in Eg/GSR Hybrid? >> speedometer <<
I wired the GSR cluster into my 93 Cx
Everything seems to be working except the fuel gauge meter
Will I now have an accurate reading on the speedometer? When I had the Cx cluster in with the GSR motor I would be reading 90 mph and actually only doing like 82 mph. A friend rode next to me in her 318ti Beamer. It will be a few days before I can do this test again, so I thought I'd ask

the problem is in your tires/wheels not your speedo. Honda speedos are all the same (if they are electronic vss's)

Those are the factory spec tires that are on my Cx.
I highly doubt a stock civic would be off almost 10 mph when doing 80-90 mph on the freeway There would be big time law suits....

Factory spec tires? Ok. What rims are you using? I think the speed sensors are all the same, but what one are you using? The one that came with your GSR swap?

I just wired the GSR cluster to the cut civic wires. How do I know what speed sensor I am using? Where is the speed sensor? I know the speedometer was just a single wire.

There is actually a thread that discusses oem civic clusters with GSR motors and how the speed are all off.

Re: (Hybrid93Hatch)
I'm lost.
If your overall tire diameter is shorter than the 195/55-15 meant for GSRs, then it's going to read different.
At high speeds, it's going to be off, also.
Your friend's BIMMER is NOT a good way to judge accuracy, hers can be just as off, you think her low end BMW is some sort of technological marvel?

Re: How accurate is GSR cluster in Eg/GSR Hybrid? >> speedometer << (Hybrid93Hatch)
Sounds as if the GSR wire harness is possibly from a 1997+ Integra, to get the fuel gauge to function there will need to be a wire ran from I believe the 2nd or 3rd empty slot on the wire harness to read the signal on the gauge cluster. I had a different harness then some and ended up having to follow some of the Integra wire locations. I will have to check later to give a certainty, but if still installing you can do so as well.

So what are stock GSR tire size? My GSR speedometer is off too. I have a GSR dash in a 92 Hatch with 15" slipstreams.

I believe somebody just said that all Honda speedos are gauged the same.
Which means, your VSS is to blame...just like everybody else with an H22.
You need to have the same overall size of wheels/tires that a Prelude has stock.

Can someone check on this for sure? I bet it's a single wire like you guys are saying. Just need to know which one
That is fine if the speedo is off a little. I just hope the RPM's are accurate
To the statement above about the low-end BMW being "technological marvel"... I've told her to sell the POS since it just cost her almost 2k with only 60k on it

Re: How accurate is GSR cluster in Eg/GSR Hybrid? >> speedometer << (CivHatchH22)
Are the RPM's accurate in our Eg/GSR's?
In 5th gear here's what I noticed and hoping someone can clarify:
60 mph -- 3,100 RPM
40 mph -- 2,000 RPM
30 mph -- 1,500 RPM
