I have a v-afc2 right know and im thinking about getting a hondata if i do get a hondata ecu, am i still going to be able to use my v-afc2, and if not what is the reason. Sorry if this is not the right forum.

You can still keep your VAFC2 where it is, but if you want Hondata to control everything, you'll find it unwise to keep the VAFC2 attached to anything. Why would this be a concern of yours? Hondata is better than a VAFC in every way.

Just a few reasons is 1 i just recently bought it, i cut my dash so that i could mount it where it looks good, and i like how it looks in my car, I mean theres no real big reason why i would still need it, but just wondering if i were to go with the hondata would i still be able to use it if i wanted to, Thank You for you replies guys.

Yeah I still use mine. Since gas prices went up I have leaned the car out at cruising speeds using the vafc. I can easily change it back if need be and much easier to make a quick a temporary change then whipping out the laptop.

The hondata needs to see a dyno but until I get all my changes out of the way it would be a big waste of money.

i still have a vafc with my uberdata. i just disconnected the vtec wires from the afc, to the ecu. and set all the settings(fuel)back to zero. i just use this as a boost gauge, tach, throttle position. since it logs maxium output. But i would also like to know if therre would be ne damage if you were to lean the mixture out, on the afc while running a Hondata, uberdata, etc, etc...
