honda noob questions
i just bought a 93 del sol with a 99 civic d16 motor and a t3/t4 turbo kit, denso 650cc injectors, and some sort of decent exhaust. im wondering what the best way to tune the afr would be. theres an autometer a/f gauge in the car, but i can get access to a wideband if i need to. not looking to spend a lot of money on this, and probably wont boost over 8psi until i can rebuild with forged internals. what are my options for tuning and what will work best? should i just go with an s-afc and vtec controller for now? thanks for any input.

I'm not into fi that much, but if you are boosting only 8 psi, then a vafc whould do the trick next to a wideband

Re: honda noob questions (aallbbeerrtttttt)
im not sure if im obd1 or 2, i would think 2 since the motor is from a 99 civic but im not sure what ecu i have. the kid i got the car from didnt seem to know a whole lot about it. he had bought it from someone in florida and when he got the car back home, he found a sweet deal on an sti so he sold this car to put the money towards the sti.
anyway, why would the vafc blow the motor? as long as i can monitor my afr correctly i should be fine, correct? im just wondering what tuning platform is best for a civic with this setup.

Re: honda noob questions (NYwoody)
using vafc will be fine for ur setup, or like somebody stated getting a P28 and chipping it and tuning it from there w/ a wideband O2 sensor is okay...Either, or.
EDIT:
PS: I wouldn't put too much power on that motor w/ stock internals, it really can't take it
