Hit a deer... Will a new hood fit in my hatch? lol Headlight question also!
I hit a BIG deer two nights ago at 40+mph, and messed up my passenger side fender, hood, and headlight/turn signal assembly. Bumper is fine...
I've got a few questions...
1) When I go to pick up my NEW hood, will it fit into the back of my hatchback? It would be in a box, so I don't really know how much space that would add... but just the hood, would it fit? Angled or something?
Or will I have to ditch the old one in a dumpster and put on the new one... or strap it to the roof? lol
2) Are coupe and hatchback HEADLIGHTS different? What about the corners? Sedan units are different I assume?
3) I found a good price on a coupe fender without moulding holes... will this fit my hatchback? Are hatchback/coupe fender/hood/lights the same? JUST sedan parts are different?
Thanks everyone!

The sedans are totally different. Coupe bumpers, headlights, corner lights, fenders are all the same.
Why don't you just go pick up the hood without a hood on your car and install it when you buy the new one?

Re: (ej1sir16)
Thanks for the replies about parts being compatible.
I'd drive without a hood but it's a 2 1/2 hr drive one way.
I live in alabama and around here I know cops wouldn't bother me but i'll be driving down to Atlanta, so i'm not sure about laws; body panels having to be present in order for your car to be road worthy... I know Georgia has a MUCH stronger police presence, and I really don't want a ticket. The deer cost me enough unexpected $$$.
I may ask the shop if they'd take my old hood and throw it in they're dumpster though...

Re: (iVteC_PoWeR)
lol that's all i've heard since it happened
"you turn around and throw it in the back?"
nope didn't pick it up... was mangled pretty badly. the doe ran out infront of me, i swerved, hit it's front shoulder with the headlight and bumper, head hit the hood, and the body swung around against the passenger side fender. door didn't crumple and sort of.... tore it apart.
