high pitch Noise from Transmission/clutch assembly until slightly pressing the clutch
Okay, i have 96 EK hatch. I had the clutch replaced.
My Input shaft Bearing is making noise until i press on the clutch all the way then its quiet , and its okay I'm waiting to get another tranny.
What I am concerned about now, is there is a high pitch screech coming from the transmission/clutch assembly/ tranny fork area. It stops when I touch on the clutch a little bit, like about 1/2 inch. So basically with the clutch (not pressed in) it makes this high pitch screeching noise sounds almost like a bad timing belt. Until I touch on the pedal slightly past the free play and it barely touches the clutch.
I seen some threads where people have similar problems, but never got it solved.

I heard some suggestions like getting the pedal adjusted, flushing out slave cylinder.
I am stuck and Need help anybody ?
thanks in advanced

Faulty throw-out bearing...non-OEM replacement used when you had the clutch replaced?

Re: high pitch Noise from Transmission/clutch assembly until slightly pressing the cl
do you think its because the second time he put on the transmission onto the block the throwout bearing was mis alligned ? i say this because after he put the transmission back on it started leaking fluid ? probably from input shaft seal
or ?

Re: high pitch Noise from Transmission/clutch assembly until slightly pressing the cl
I have the same noise. I completely rebuilt my b16 tranny on my wife's 99Si a while back. I replaced all the bearings and synchros from synchrotech. I installed an oem clutch and throw out bearing as well.
The car was not used for about 6-8 months since it's the extra car. Wife started driving it and I hear that screetching noise now. Sounds like a loose belt. The noise will go away when you start pressing the clutch pedal in.
So it's confirmed that it's just a throw out bearing?

Here's the video of how the noise sound borrowed from the posted Acura forum. This is exactly how mine sounds. The Acura owner had the TO bearing replaced but the issue continued. Makes since since the TO bearing only engages when you pressed the clutch in right?

Also, when I have my foot on the clutch pedal, I can feel vibrations on the pedal.
