my car with 126,000 miles compression tested between 210 -200 psi for all 4 cylinders. id say do it, just dont run too much boost or anything else unsafe you should be cool- these hondas run forever

do a compression test, if the results turn out good, then boost it.

Re: high imeage + boost? (SOHC_MShue)
no dyno, im still at stock boost pressure (5.5 psi) and only upgrades are dsm sidemount and a bov. still running through stock exhaust and cat which is hurting my power but will be my next mod. compression #'s are 190,185,180,180.

yeah, make sure you get the compression checked before anything...good luck, as mentioned, if done right, the motor should last for awhile with proper maintenance and boost "control" on your part

Re: high imeage + boost? (egcivic)
A friend and I put a homemade kit on his d15 in his 93dx at 153k and drove it 10psi daily for about 8k miles before headgasket blew. It only blew because of high mileage and hard driving at the track......do it if its been kept up and you will continue to do so, itll last just fine.

Re: high imeage + boost? (egcivic)
yah i boosted my d15b7 with 153000 on it....i ran all the way up to 10 psi on it but the headgasket eventually went on it. $28 later it was back on the road and pullin hard. also the t-25 will make it easier for routing charge pipes. the 14b is a little bigger but not really noticable for your application, so i would go with the t25. i also ran a blue box for management and i was pretty pleased with the results. if you are just going to using for a daily driver and dont want to mess with a lot of tuning it is the way to go, if you are trying to get every possible bit of performance out of it then i would invest in a little nicer management. i also ran a starion frontmount to keep charge temps down a little, dsm bov, and 2" charge piping. good luck man and dont listen to your friends. they will eat their words when you spool past em
