High Flow Cat and Header for D16Y7
I will be getting a header soon and relocating the converter and sensors to under the car, rather than the Y7 manifold cat. I want a bolt-on converter so I can easily change it out if needed.
My exhaust shop says to steer clear of any magnaflow/carsound converters and that he doesn't buy them anymore since losing so much money on warranty claims. I've also heard Random converters aren't great either. I found a bolt-on converter from Thermal online. Are there any other direct fit options? People here have offered me used OEM converters for $200 or more, which is enough to just buy a new one with a warranty. Any help is appreciated.

Re: High Flow Cat and Header for D16Y7 (Swerv)
Can anyone give me a suggestion? I'm just looking for a quality, reliable, direct-fit converter. Also, what's the difference between 96-98 ex/si and 99-00 ex/si converters? I'm guessing I need the 99-00 ex/si type...
This is going on my 99 LX daily driver. I'm not planning to boost or swap any time soon, but want to replace the manifold cat. I have a modded OEM Y7 intake and custom cat-back so far. What high flow cat should I run with this setup and 4-2-1 header that will last and be reliable? i.e. no CEL...
