Default help no spark

i have a 89 civic si w/ b16a
i got no spark i'm using my wiring harnes on my civic and the b16a ecu i change my coil and my igniter but still no spark

yes the bat. is hooked up
yes engine turns and i don't know how to check the module

check all the grounds. the chassis to valve cover, the chassis to thermostat housing. grind the paint off the contact areas. then try that.

I just had a similar problem, it was the module. But mine is a stock 92 sohc vtec. Was your engine running before or did you just do a swap?

ok, that makes NO sense.

check your ecu, make sure it's plugged in properly, the fuse is ok, then check the ignition signal from the ecu... just make your way down the line till you figure out what is wrong

Did you actualy verify that there is no spark or are you just assuming thats what it is?

I'm having the same problem but with a stock 89 CRX SI. Which module are you guys talking about? I've check the coil with an ohm meter and it is within the correct params. I've replaced the rotor and cap. Still no spark. The car actually died while driving on the freeway!!!

tyy checkin the icm (ignition control module). its located in the distibutor, its the one with 4 wires connected to it. try that,trust me thats the problem.

I replaced the ignition control module. It didn't work. Could the coil still be bad even though the impedence is within the correct params? It had a lot of carbon deposits inside the distributor.
