Limp mode usually means ditributor. Reset your ecu and see if it corrects it even if only for a minute. Then bolt on a known good dizzy and see if that fixes that ish.

Dizzy means ditributor.

Use a distributor for the motor and you won't have the problems, yeah it'll start the car but it won't run it the way you want it to.

...What You could be throwing any number of codes that throws the ecu into "limp" mode.

The right distributor is important.....but you need to do what I provided to check the code.

Just find the wire on the ECU to trip the self diagnostic and ground it. You dont need just the jumper.

EDIT: pdiggitydogg did all the work for you, its the white wire on pin D4 ground it.

And dont listen to the guy who said it was the distributor. CEL's rang from 100's of thing, distributor is only like 5 of them. Also dont throw parts at it, figure out whats wrong first then fix it right, dont just throw a new distributor on unless its causing the problem.

A ground is a ground
just run a wire from D4 to a clean bolt, the chassis itself...whatever

you can either use a paperclip, or go to autozone and borrow their OBD2 tester for free.
