I got up yesterday morning and went out to start my car and made it about 10sec down the road when I looked down to see the check engine light had turned on and my speedo bouncing around like mad. It was reading anywhere from 60-150mph! I figured that since the speedo was going crazy like that the VSS was probably bad but I checked that and the VSS is fine. Does anyone know what could cause this? I just checked the CEL and its throwing a code 20, 41, and 65. Somebody help I need my car to get to classes next week. Thanks in advance.

Did u pull the actuall VSS out of the tranny. Sometimes the VSS gear doesnt mesh right with the diff and the VSS gear could get screwed up..

yeah I did, there was nothing wrong with it. I swapped mine out for one from another civic to see if it would fix the problem and I put mine in the other car to make sure it wasnt bad.

The ecu is throwing codes for the O2 sensors but those are fine as well. And even if they werent I dont see how a bad O2 sensor would do anything to my speedo.
