i have a 99ex d16y8 with a t25 turbo xs kit. i got 160 to the wheel then clutch started to slip. i changed the clutch and flywheel now, didn't get a chance to go back to the dyno yet. did anyone make better power with similar set up? now i push antifreeze into the overflow tank though... anyone with this problem??? i think the head might be lifting when in boost. thats the only time it happens.

Well the t25 is a fairly small turbo...how much boost are you running?

Also, what fuel management are you running?

i know it is a small turbo. just wanted something small not too crazy but now that i did it i want more...lol... i'm running 10 psi. i think turbo is too small, feels like it looses power on top end. doesn't pull hard enough.

also i have the 2 extra injector set up with control box and msd btm.

My suggestion would be to ditch those other injectors, get some form of engine management and get a bigger turbo...even a 15g would make a huge difference.

the injectors are ok plenty of fuel, just turbo is too small.. i really should get a bigger one, then i have to get new manifold,turbo, & downpipe though.i might just leave it for now and do a b18c swap and turbo that with a t3/t4 turbo. i don't think the d16 can put out too much power.

As .ken suggested, proper engine managment and tuning should greatly improve the setup.

i had it tuned on the dyno.. i have the mds btm, and the injectors came with a control box to adjust them..they drowned out the motor when turned up. so they are ok.just that the turbo is way too small..the company said that the turbo was good to 250-275 hp..that was a lie.

I think the tuning might be off 30 WHP+ from a turbo on 10 PSI? No way....my friend is running a D16y8 with custom kit on a T3/T4 and is easily making 200 at 8 PSI

10 psi on a t25 and 10psi on t3t4 in too diffeent things

yea a t3/t4 is much bigger turbo...you will get alot more power at 10psi from t3/t4 than a t25. should've just gone bigger!!!
