Default HELP motor doesnt match

ok, so it took about a yr to notice, but when i bought the car i rle didnt kno much about tuning, the other day i was puttin in a new clutch and noticed that i have a d16z6 in my 96 ex. i am pretty sure its sposed to be a d16y8 in my car lol and that the z6 is from the 92-95 si's. neways the clutch i ordered was for a y8 and bolted in fine. is their any possible advantages to this motor in my car/could the tranny be original/ do you think the ecu/harness is diff than stock because i think the z6 is obd1, and the y8 is obd2. not sure about the whole situation any input would be greatly appreciated. o and the car runs great and redlines at about 7500.

what ecu are you running? its behind the passenger side kick panel check that. someone probably converted to obd1 perhaps? but yea clutches for D series are all the same from 90-00 or 92-00 cant remember right now 1 of the 2. as for the tranny you most likey ahve the ex/si trans find the code on it and thatll tell you if its the 5th or 6th gen trans. but sounds like youre doing ok with that motor. owner before you probably fucked up the stocker and dropped that in. who knows some honda owners do some weird ****
