Help ME Plzz with installing 91 B18 into my 97 Civic!!!
Ok...
I have a 1997 civic hatchback that I have had for a year.
I have a 1991 b18 from an Acura Integra LS.
I am now trying to install the engine in the car.
I am using a 99 crv b20 engine harness and I have been cutting off certain plugs off of a b18 integra harness to match it up to my engine.
I can NOT find a 99 crv engine harness diagram anywhere!
I am stuck figuring out which plugs are for the distributor, because i have to change out the plugs on the harness.
I am such a mechanic newb, and I have been trying to have my mechanic friends help me... but they always say they are busy.
I have a full turbo kit that I know how to install, but that comes after I get the engine up and running... Which is the hard part doing this obd2-obd1 conversion.
I do have a jumper harness for the ecu.
I would appriciate all the information you guys can give me.
Thank you!

just use a 96-98 ex harness or your stock civic harness and modifly that slightly.. your going to need a 99-00 civic Si rear T bracket and the drivers side block mount..... you shouldnt need the crv harness.. not quite sure what your doing with that..

my only issue is the wire harness.
i really need a 99 honda crv engine harness diagram.
i was planning to use the crv (obd2) engine harness to plug into my car.
i was cutting off the plugs that didnt match up to my engine and replacing them with the b18 (obd1) plugs appropriately.
all i have is the crv harness and a 91 b18 integra harness.

Pretty sure you cant use that harness in your car. I believe they are similar to the two piece designed integra harnesses which wont work in 96-00 civics. Your harness for that car is a one piece and you will need to use a one piece in order for everything to plug up in the cabin. Your not wiring vtec so Im not sure why you didnt just use your original harness and then add the appropriate plugs.

it is an automatic harness too, so theres even more plugs on it!
it does have the same clips to plug into my hood, which goes into the car and it fits and matches up perfect...
thats why i was putting my b18 (obd1) plugs on the b20 (ob2) harness so i can use it to plug into the engine.
I cant figure out the distributor plug on the b20 (obd2) harness.
I would really appriciate if someone can help me find a 99 honda crv b20 wire diagram to make sure that i switched out all the correct plugs so when install the engine and start it, it will work properly.
the car originally had a 1.5L sohc, which i sold for $350.
I was so retarded and gave him the engine harness as well; what a horrible mistake that was... I regret not keeping the engine and just throwing a turbo on it.
sooo now i have my b18 to get running then ill throw my turbo on it.
ill have to post pics of it when its done!
=-)
but i need your help to get me there!

You did get help. You just don't want to listen. A couple of people have already told you what to do/not to do.

1. Don't use the CRV harness
2. Use your cars harness
3. Convert 3 wire to 2 wire for the IACV
4. Either reuse the D series IAT or repin the plug for a round IACV type from the B18 manifold
5. Hope you're going to convert to OBD1 otherwise you'll have to do the CKF trick or use an OBD2 oil pump for the CKF sensor
5. You'll have to either use an OBD1/2 throttle body that has the map sensor on top or rig your MAP sensor from the Dseries to work
6. Rewire the fan switch from the thermostat housing location to the back of the block where the B18's is
7. You can't use the B18's distributor if it came with one, it'll have to be OBD1/2 to use with an OBD1/2 ECU
8. You'll have to extend the secondary O2 wiring unless you are going OBD1 for the ECU (recommended if possible)
9. Rig up the EVAP purge system to work
10. ECT should plug right in
11. You can't use the B18's injectors unless you wire in a resistor box or can't use your old D16 injectors or it'll run too lean. You'll need some OBD2 injectors from at least a D16Y8 to plug and play.

Use the same year swap for that Civic. If not, there will be 10 million more Tech questions asking why the motor won't start or why it's not running right. Wise up people. Are you that desperate for a swap....?!!!
