Default Help with length size of resonator

just got a new magnaflow exhaust system with no resonator. they told me it would be a very low tone and not too loud without a resonator. yea it was a nice low tone but a sort of LOUD low tone. i dont kno if its just me but i thought it was loud. and now im thinking of adding a resonator. i want it quieter but not too the point where it sounds like my stock exhausts. what would you guys suggest the length of my resonator should be to have a quiet but not too quiet tone??

i just added a 18" resonator and man it just cut the sound off of my muffler. it sounds completly like stock and now im mad again. i thought 22 wouldnt make it quiet as much since most people recommended it but then a smaller 18" dropped the sound dramatically. are there any smaller resonators than 18??

Does anybody knows if adding a resonator in the place of the cat would quite the noise down?? and at the same time maybe free up some HP???? if yes aprox how much noise reduction??? thanks any feedback would be great

yes a resignator will cut down the noise level, but honestly if you put a magnaflow on your car you are really not trying to be that quiet. i have 3" down pipe running through 3" k-teller to my magnaflow without any resignator. it is loud when you get on it but compared to my apexi n1 i had before it is tons quieter.
