Air/ fuel gauge install help!!!!
A friend of mine gave me an air/fuel gauge that he wasnt using and just had lying around. I wanted to use it but can't figure somethings out. The wires are......red, orange, and black. Now I'm pretty sure that the black is a ground I think. What would the red and orange wires be for? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks yo.

you'll need a wideband o2. the stock one is just a ball park figure. It can generally tell you if you're running lean or rich, but its not very accurate. The wideband is a tuning tool that will give you accurate results. The downside is that they are much more expensive than an a/f guage. With the stock o2, you'll just get a light show.

About to say that, my friend has one on his MR, and it works perfect to tune his turbo set-up....not much but runs better than when he didnt have that gauge
-the light show is cool too

Basically just to have an idea where I stand. Plus I've never wired one before, so kinda like a learning experience. I know its not accurate enough to use as a tuning device. Not for light show purposes.

have fun with your car man! thats what it's all about. but remember, when putting aftermarket parts on it, they aren't always "UPGRADES". A friend of mine use to put every part he could get his hands on in/on his car. It had more hand me downs on it then I thought possible needless to say, the car looked pieced together. everything doesn't have to come at once. have fun.
