HELP!! Idle bounces up and down rapidly
So I jus picked up this 2000 Civic ex with a 5speed swap.. they guy I got it from said the iacv was bad and it was cuasing the idle to bounce up and down. Come to find out it still has the iacv and throttle body from the auto trans hooked up and the one on the back of the intake just has the coolant lines and no wires to it.. so I've been told I need to unplug the iacv on the bottom of the throttle body and switch it from a 3 plug to a 2 plug and hook up the one on the back of the intake.. I can't seem to find a good write up on how to do this so cld some one please walk me thru how to do this?? Everything I've seen says something about messing with the ecu plug?? HELP!!!

A simple Google of "2 wire IACV conversion" turns up lots of stuff. The essential points are:
Make sure that you have a manual EX ECU (P2P-x0x not P2P-x5x).
Wire a 2 wire plug to the yellow-black and black-blue wires from the 3 wire plug and plug it into your 2-wire valve. The orange wire is not used.
Move the black-blue wire from pin B6 to pin B23 on the ECU B plug. You can leave the orange wire where it is (B15), it is not used.
Swap to manual throttle body or blank off the 3-wire valve. The 3 wire valve lets in an indeterminate amount of air with the wires disconnected, so you have to stop that. Take a piece of thin metal (beer can) and make a blanking plate that blocks the air passages. Install it between the gasket and the valve.

Ok so I got the 2wire iacv hooked up and changed the wires at the ecu now jus block off the other iacv and do I leave the coolant lines hooked up the way they are or do I have to change them??

I'm not sure exactly how the coolant would flow with a blanking arrangement. You could reroute the hoses so no coolant goes to the 3-wire valve at all.
