The fckface who owned the car before me hacked the stereo dash harness and several wires around it... I had to monkey around and clean up as many wires as much as I could.


H-T, please help me identify these loose wires. What are they and what do they do?

White w/ blue-stripe
Red w/ white-stripe


Also, is there any kind of color coded wiring schematic floating around the net?

white/blue is constant 12v battery power (keep alive memory for clock and stereo)

That's what I thought too. But for some reason, that won't power up my deck. I used a yellow "mystery" wire from behind the deck to send 12v constant. f'd up...

Backup fuse under the hood is probably blown.

okay... so it turns out that the mystery wire ran into the "interior light" fuse in the driver's side fuse panel. that's where it's getting it's 12v source. (talk about HACK!)

i put the volt meter to the white/blue-stripe wire and only got ~3.0 volts? what would cause that?

and, what backup fuse under the hood are you talking about 94eg8?
