Help! I need to solve an Erratic Idle with my 95 B18B1 swap into 98 Civic
Okay so i swapped in an OBD1 B18B1 into my 98 civic hatch. At cold start it idles normally but once the engine warms up the rpms will drop down to 1100 and jump between 1100 and 1400 rpm. It also misfires as its idling erraticly. Another thing to note is that it runs super rich.
Here is what i have been through so far:
IACV was cleaned and checked, it is working properly.
FITV was also cleaned and check, its fine as well.
Checked the map sensor and tps both are good.
Checked the ECU thats good also.
Went through all the wiring everything is correct.
Bled the coolant system, that didnt change the idle.
Replaced Spark plugs, Spark plug wires, Dizzy.
Checked the timing and its on point.
Checked for vacuum leaks, none found.
The last thing i did check was the pcv. When i disconnected it at the intake port and covered it with my finger after the engine is warmed up it will idle at 700 rpm and jump up to 900 rpm and then back down and so on. Does this mean my pcv is fine ? or does it need replacing ? Also if anyone has any thoughts on the cause of the problem or suggestions please let me know as this has been going on for over a month and a half is getting super frustrating. Thanks any help is appreciated!
