so i just installed my fogs on my eg hatch and took it for a drive then about 5 mins later i smelt this burning smell. and i checked it out and it was the plastic that melted by the relay and probly down to the fogs.

the fogs still work but some of the wire are burnt and need to know how that happened and what to do about it. thanks

uhh lol sorry are you sure you hooked it up properly? lets see some pics so we can help you out better broham. I just installed mine about two weeks ago and they work great no problems.

yeah im pretty sure i did. its all plug n play.

lol that's true, maybe a wire frayed and arced or something. hurry up with those pics lol

i bought fog lights from k2 motors and had the same problem. the problem ended up being the wires in the plug on the fog light side being reversed. so what was happening was the housing was being energized. i got k2 to send me a new set and the wires were wrong there also. so i swapped the pins and all is well now for over 6 months with no problems. damn chinese **** parts.

lol I ordered a set of clear fogs from k2 also but they work great. I've only had them for about a month.

I don't really trust k2 anymore.. lol I had also gotten a spoiler for my eg hatch and that didn't fit properly.. and after hearing about your problems with the fogs... I'm just glad mine were fine.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM....... melted the yellow wire..... found out they came wired wrong inside......got them from k2 motors aswell
