Default Help diagnosing starting issue

Background:
I turned my car off after returning home a couple days ago and when I went to leave again a couple hours later it wouldn't start. It turns over but there's no firing.

What I've done so far:
I've checked all the fuses that have to do with fuel/ignition and I can hear the fuel pump prime when I put the key in the 'on' position. It seemed to be getting fuel no problem, so I took out one of the plugs and did a spark test on it and it's not firing. I tested a second one just to make sure it wasn't just that one plug that was bad or something and it didn't fire either. So obviously it's something electrical. I'm assuming the battery and starter are fine because it's turning over, so I figure it must be bad wiring or the ignition coil? It also crossed my mind that it had been raining heavy that day, so I was thinking maybe something got wet and shorted out. I took off all the wiring and took apart the distributor and let it dry out for a day. Put it back together this afternoon and still no go. My next step was going to be to replace the entire distributor and the ignition coil and see if that fixes it. Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated....
