Help! D16Z6 Swap, AUTO Transmission
I have a 1994 Civic DX hatchback. I want to get rid of the stock D15B7 and get a D16Z6 in there. I was wondering what would I have to get in order for it to work, my car is Automatic and don't want to change that. Thanks for anyone who can help out a noob

You should look stuff up. Similar question's have been asked before. It is a straight swap you just take the b7 out and put the z6 in just make sure it has the automatic flex plate thing when you put it in. If it doesnt come with one just take the one off the b7 and put it on the z6. It is a direct swap the only thing that may confuse you is the wiring you should wire up the vtec on your existing harness not sure on which pins off the top of my head so look that up. You will need an auto p28 ecu and that should be around it.

Yeah, but with the auto p28, engine, and VTEC wiring I should be all set? I've been lurking forums looking for a thread on the VTEC wiring but haven't had any luck.

Thanks for the hep guys. I cant find a thread where it talks about wiring the VTEC, does anyone know of a thread or site that talks about it?

You are only adding three wires, one wire is for the vtec spool valve and the other 2 is for the vtec oil pressure. Other then that, it is a direct drop in.
