Default 1992 honda civic LX, d16z6 swap.

I have a chance to get a rebuilt (12k ago) D16Z6 with an auto tranny rebuilt 5000 miles ago and a ECU for 500.

Right now I have the D15B7 non vtec with the 5speed LX transmission, i need to know if I can put my transmission that is currently in my car on the D16, Temporarily till i have the money to get the better transmission, as I have no Desire to swap to an automatic.

Any info would be cool, I feel as if you can, but I figured I should ask just to be safe, don't want to dive into something I already cant afford and run into problems.

Thanks again
Jeremy.

Everything is pretty much bolt up plug and play. Just need to wire up VTEC solenoid and pressure switch. If the ecu is auto you'll need to convert it to manual or you'll have CELs.

The ecu in my car is for a manual, the ecu with the new motor is for an auto,
Few new questions
How do i convert the ecu from auto to manual?

And how would i go about wiring the vtec? Is there a write up somewhere?
