HELP! 94 Civic - stalls and complete electrical power loss
I have a 94 V Tech Honda Civic which I love. Since I bought it I've had to change the distributor 3 times because I've been left on the street. The car just powers down while driving, giving the car has was useless and non of the elctricals worked. I recently just put in a third (new) distributor in and drive for the first time without any actual problems.
My issue is that I don't have any confidence while driving the car because I'm scared that it will power off again. Is there anything else that can possibly be causing the problem and/or is there anything I can do to alter the outcome this time?
Thanks for any and all responses!

Re: HELP! 94 V-Tech electrical issues
A bad distributor would not cause the car to lose all electrical power. And the fact that you have already installed three distributors tells you they're not the problem.
Start here:
-test the ignition switch.
-clean and tighten the battery connectors and the battery ground wire attached to the chassis.

Re: HELP! 94 V-Tech electrical issues
sounds kind of silly, but my buddy had the exact same problem... he claimed to always need a jump for his car after it would die... he told me about the problem... I went out and tightened his battery terminals... no problem at all since then

Re: HELP! 94 Civic - stalls and complete electrical power loss
Car left me stranded this weekend again. I was driving home from work and all off a sudden the RPM went from 2000 to 0. The radio, headlights, wipers and a/c still functioned but the car itself wouldn't function.
I try to start the car but car again but it sounds like it wants to start but it won't spark and turn on. As I turn the key to start the at the distributor makes a rattling sound, another fried piece.
Idk what is frying my new distributors.
