Help@ y7/y8 Mini me Endlessly Retarding Ignition
Trying to get a y7/y8 mini me swap running in a 97 dx. Currently no CEL, runs nice right after ecu reset then it begins to retard timing back till it is eventually as far as -5 degress! When setting ignition timing with service connector jumped it starts 0 and retards back to around -5 again.
Originally threw a ELD High voltage code, which I tracked down to the charging system blowing fuse 15. With new fuse and alternator connected in KEY ON but not running, the charging system light stays on. With alternator disconected no more CEL codes - But still ignition timing is forced to retard till it runs horribly.
Bought a P2P Ob2a ecu off ebay and 96 TEC dizzy from junkyard.
Has anyone experienced this before/ have any useful leads?

Re: Help@ y7/y8 Mini me Endlessly Retarding Ignition
I just was look at the ecu data on a cheap actron reader. MAP showed 22" inHG at IDLE! CAlculated load was 75% at idle... Looking at a map or tps issue now?
