headlight problem in eg hatch (help)
Ok so when i turn on my headlights, it says its on brights (blue thing lighting up), but both headlights are very dim, cant even see anything at night.
When i go to switch it to brights one headlight dims completelly out (left) and the other stays bright (right), but it still says i have my brights on no matter which way i hit the switch.
Im not good with words so reply if i need to clarify anything lol PLEASE HELP, thanks

Is this recently happened?
If I understand it right, your high beam stay on all the time, but your lights are dim?
Try this, with the headlight on test for voltage on your light, seem like you have a short somewhere, or loose connection causing power lost.

what have you done recently that could have caused it? did you replace your headlights or bulbs or mess with any wiring?

Re: headlight problem in eg hatch (help)
I was driving on a dark *** road one night and my lights went out. it ended up being a short from the fog lights and power steering. the only thing is that when my lights went out so did the cluster gauge backlight. Which makes me think that maybe it isn't a short? I like the alternator idea

Re: headlight problem in eg hatch (help)
so which mean u blown a fuse, a short could do more damange than you could imagine, and most likely test your wires make sure all connection are good, and no short.
hook your headlight straight to the battery, see if it bright or still dim like it was on car.
If it's bright like it should be, then your wiring system is messing, do you have 12v going to the headlight connection? and go from there back to the source
