1 piece is exhaust manifold and down pipe are made in one piece structure. and 2 pieces are down pipe and exhaust manifold are two separate pieces .normally reuqire 3 long bolts and 3 nuts to secure and 2 pieces are easier to install..performance wise are the same. 4-1 and 4-2-1 design has slightly differences in peformance

In very general terms, yes. However, the overall design and quality of the header is a more important factor than simply focusing on the tubing configuration.

x2. Most truthful thing said so far. To the OP, you can search for dyno graphs and comparisons between different header desgins on the site. It will really help you narrow your choices

I try to keep it general, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for...but if it's a basically "stock" motor, then there's no need to spend a crap load of money on a high-dollar header.
