header problems
i have a small problem, and i was wondering if someone could help.
i have a 96 civic hatch in which i recently replaced the header to a pacesetter 92 to 95 civic 2 piece. the problem is i have no where to mount my catalytic converter, it used to be in front of the block. i called up the guys who sent it and they told me that they'd fit just fine but id need to relocate my cat. i was wondering if anyone had similar problems and knew of a solution to my problem.
also i keep blowing gaskets between the 2 header pieces. i dont know if its cause the plated may be warped or if its just for a different engine.
help is much appreciated
also to everyone here

Enjoy that header. They're nicknamed "paceShitter" for a reason.
I put one of these pieces of crap on my 94 EX. Fit like crap. It never sealed right. I had an exhaust leak where the rest of the exhaust hooked to the header. Brand new donut gasket and all. The damn thing was bent when it got here. That's probably the same issue you're having.
Quality control at that factory must be non existent.

20/20 hindsight, eh?
Buy a better header.
If you're not afraid to pay for quality you should have skipped over the paceshitter and went with a one piece ceramic DC header or something. You'll have to get a muffler shop to do some fab work with the cat though.
P.S. I got that paceshitter header to sell the car. O2 sensor snapped off in the old manifold and ended up cracking it. Paceshitter header and autozone O2 sensor was cheaper than getting a new stock mani.

oh wow ****. are there really a difference between the 4-2-1 or the 4-1? i think it just may be the headers that are the reason i keep blowing gaskets.
