Default header flange and cat flange questions

I just recently picked up a hatch with a gsr swap. It has a FGK header and collector. The collect is 2.5 i believe and the cat is only 2.25. So of course they aren't fitting, my question is can i just buy a flange and have it welded to the cat or will that not even work since the cat is only 2.25?

No the flanges do not line up, the cat side is too small. And yes it came with the donut gasket on the collector side.

Yea the last shop i went to last weekend..didn't have any flanges laying around. So i guess i'll try going to another shop. Should i have them put a bigger flange on the cat side or a smaller flange on the collector side?

I would definitely get the bigger flange on the cat so you don't bottleneck the header.
