Default Header (B16)

What would be the difference between the 4-2-1 and the 4-1 header? (B16)

4-1 more top end
4-2-1 more low/midrange

id probably go with the 4-2-1 cause i heard the 4-1's sacrafice the low end/midrange quite a bit unless your putting down a lot of power

Thanks for the info, I was leaning more towards the 4-2-1 too. My engine is pretty much stock.

when i was in your boat i went with a polished 4-2-1 dc header. it looked great and gave a little extra hp and tq. you can find decent deals if you look in classifieds and ebay (try clubsi.com too.... i know i know.)

and btw i would have gone with a jdm 4-1 with 2.5 collector and exhaust if had the money
it all depends on what your trying to achieve

EDIT: here is a pic of the old polished 4-2-1

Greddy header is junk....if you really want to go with 4-2-1 then go with the APEXi GT spec header......otherwise I would suggest JDM ITR 4-1 or Spoon 4-1 (what I run in my Si)

apexi 4-2-1 with the 2.5 in collector
JDM 4-1
Dc Jdm 4-1
Toda 4-2-1
Spoon 4-1
Header tech 4-2-1
smsp 4-2-1
dtr 4-2-1

there are alot of good headers on the market as of now, the higher end 4-2-1 headers will make power down low and up high it all depends on what you want to do with the car, and ur goals.

4-1 all the way baby----why waste time with low to midrange power on a b-16, its never going to happen with a stock block. I am running a DC jdm 4-1 with a test pipe ----good power for the $

you'd be better off w/ a 4-1 on a b16, its a high reving motor, so you want high end power

you forgot about the stock cast 4-2-1 CTR with the 2.5 collector.
