head gasket!!!
im lookin at a 94 ex coupe for 1600( very clean inside and out). he is very firm with the price.
my boy was looking at it and he say the head gasket might be blown because there was some oil near the head. i dont kno he right or not. because he just jump to conclusion right away.. what do i have to look at to determine that the head gasket is blown?????? after starting up for 10 min and drove it for 10 min, it didnt overheat. the car was sitting for 3 weeks though. i would buy it but the headgasket got me debating. THANK YOU
ccar come with intake, exhaust, alarm. 2 kill switch, tinted window, stock heigh

Re: head gasket!!!
Generally a head gasket failure wouldn't result in oil being outside of the engine on the block, but a leaky valve cover gasket or cam seals could be the problem, which aren't really that big of a deal.

Re: head gasket!!!
usually white smoke comign out of the exhaust is a sign of blown headgasket. but the person above me is right. sounds like one of those. u should tell him that the head gasket is blown so u get it for a good deal lol. idk.

Re: head gasket!!!
In my opinion and experiences, when I had a head gasket leak there was oil outside of the engine block or near the head. If you want to know if there is a head gasket leak, check for oil leak. Just wipe the oil spot away first. Then check the dip stick before and after. If there is an enormous amount of oil in it first, it's cool but after you get done driving and pounding and getting vtec to engage, then check the dip stick again. That's my opinion.
