Have you repaired the elbow hole in your door panel?
The drivers side inner door panel of my EK has a hole broken in the plastic of the door panel but under the fabric, not unusual after 188k. I was thinking of pulling off the fabric and fiberglassing the hole and upgrading the cloth for the insert at the same time. Has anyone repaired their door panel elbow hole?

LOL ya mines been busted since i got my 96dx for now it just feels like a cusion pad
but to fix it what i will do for mine is take o ff the door panel and with some ruff 80grit sandpaper and ruff up the back of the busted plastic all over and first use a hot glue gun to seal the busted/cracks.... then with some fiberglass and resin mixed up apply over the back side...
the hot glue will keep the resin from leaking thru the cracks and soaking into your stock fabric and messing it up and then the resin and fiberglass on the back side will firm it all up solid again.
ive thought it out already i just havent done it yet.... im also thinking about recovering the arm rests with some tweed.... i think its fairly simple to do.... just heat up the melted joints along the back and pull that insert piece out and recover it and simply melt the piece back onto the main panel.
i think the arm rest breaks due to people geting out from the back seat and using it as a brace to get out... my civics only got 78K miles on it when i got it and its busted like this!

On my friends car we took the door panel off, roughed it up really good on both sides with course sandpaper, cleaned it thoroughly, and used fiberglass on both sides.
Make sure to lay it smooth and you wont notice it under the cloth material on the armrest.
Now is a good time to do the CTR style armrest cloth if you want.

I think all EK door panels eventually end up with an elbow hole in them. I think Honda used too thin of plastic, or got the mixture wrong because they are all so brittle.
It's not whether or not you have an elbow hole, it's how soon til you get the elbow hole
