Hate to ask - squealing coming from passenger side wheel/suspension area
Yea...I hate to ask these random vague questions but this one is driving me nuts.
Got a 93 Civic HB DX - while driving, I am getting a high pitched squeal, maybe scraping, coming from my front passenger side wheel area.
Not a clunking, or knocking sound.....and its completely random while driving. High speeds and low speeds, it will start squealing and go away at will...I can't reproduce it, it just comes and goes...but does go away and 'slow down' when I come to a stop. Turning isnt a factor. It most always does it while driving straight.
Any help with giving me some leads as to what axle/suspension parts would typically squeal when going bad would help.
I just went through and cleaned up, re-lubed my disk brakes all the way around, so I am 99% sure it isn't brake related.
Also, it wasn't very long ago that I found a busted axle boot and grease everywhere on that side of the car. I took that axle out, cleaned it up, took the CV joint part, cleaned it, and installed new boots with grease. [This noise was happening before I found this also]
Possible CV Joint? Although I thought CV joints made knocking sounds when going out.
I've been trying to narrow this one down for a long time, so for my sanity, any help/advice is much appreciated.
Thanks.

yes, however my problem was that the pasenger side caliper was draging and i noticed the pads wearing unevenly. i completly rebuilt the caliper but it didnt solve my problem... then i replaced the rubber brake hoses and put new fluid in and it sure enough went away.
