Mine weighs in a 1850 without me. It's rocking the heavier 5 lug setup as well.

It's FULLY gutted as in no climate control, no dash, no bumper supports, no unnecessary metal brackets, removed sections of the wiring harness, etc.

FIRST OFF>>>what you mean by "Fully gutted"? Does your Si come with all power? if so, then you wont get dwon to a ton. Does it have A/C? Think about it this way, a CX model w/o A/C or any goodies....even ONE mirror (LOL), weighs about 2090 LBS. Now your Si aint getting less than that...IMO

I've just thought of this......What if you sand off the paint and just put a really thin coat of something just to prevent rust, would that reduce some pounds? just an idear.

uh what are you talking about, you can get way under 2090 pounds, strip everything get lightweight wheels c/f hood, no bumper support, permanetly fix windows up and take out the mechanisms, no sound deadening tar. It is very feasible to get it under 1 ton

Thats actually a smart idea.. I mean a gallon of paint weighs 10lbs, and you have more than a gallon on your car I would think.

Thats why they dont paint the space shuttle... I think it would've added like 2 tons or something just to paint it
