Just picked up a "Happy-Bar" and i was planning on re-selling it but now im leaning towards keeping it and installing it

For those not familar its a bar that runs across the back of the seats that bolts into the seat-belt area to help "stiffen" it up. Btw: this is for del sol's.

Now i was wondering about the whole harness+bar issue. Ive seen plenty of people install harness style seat belts to the bar area and was just wondering what way they are supose to be installed and so fourth. Ive seen some people wrap them to the bar area or so it seems in pics and some bolt the ends to the floor pan on the car and so fourth. I was also wondering what "pt" harness should be used, ive seen 2-3-4-5 etc. Honestly its more of a "show" thing for me, call it rice, call it what you will but i do like it'.

Also i was wondering if any-1 uses harness+stock seats, i know most aftermarket seats have slotted areas to run part of the harness through and so fourth but ive seen a few pics here and there without them and they had no issues'.

how many "pt" harness do you reccomend, it never gets auto-crossed, does drag everynow and then and sometimes it will be a daily driver for 6 months...other times it dosnt get driven for 6 months'.....

thanks for the info, please dont fill the thread up with your thoughts and opinions on the harnesse's, some people like them, some dont....dont need to have a debate about it

edit: just did a search and found the proper way to install the harnesses is to run them to the bar itself in which case a "short" style harness is needed because if you bolt it to the floor you could have spinal injurey's induced by the way the harness is installed "floor install"

with that said, what size/pt harness do you reccomend, keep in mind stock seats are being used

i recently got a new del sol, where did u find the roll bar ur talkin about? cuz i think im gonna get a custom made roll bar made for my sol. and as far as using stock seats with the harness. u can, use a 3 pt. my boi's gst has harnesses with stock seats, it works fine...

its a rather rather find from what i remember, i believe they only made like 15 of them at the time, dunno for sure though, they were made a long time ago
