you will need your 98 ex civic hanrness and change the fuel in jector clips to h22 fuel injectors, make the started cable longer, wire up a injector resistor box, rewire the distributor and alternater... and you will need a chipped pbd1 ecu for a prelude or hondata and eliminate some sensors... i forgot what the name is but its infront of the intake manifold and kind of looks like a bov... thats wat i did to put an h22 in my eg

Re: (carlosp38)
I have a jdm p30 (obd1 b16 ecu) chipped
no need for knock sensor, vtec coolant sensor, new red line, 2 step rev limiter,
cel as a shift light, tunable fuel maps, ect ect ect
just go with a chipped ecu, I used the civic ex harness, then a obd2-1 jumper harness for the ecu.

if you're gonna do an OBD1 conversion (as many people would recommend), a p28 will work fine (they're easier to get ahold of). Lots of H22 people use them, but you sacrifice the use of your secondary butterfly valves. If you dont want to sacrifice that, go with a P72 (all the features of a p13, and more tunable)
