Default GSR into EG6 Shift Linkage

I have a GSR engine swap ready to go, but I have one question before I lay down any money. For the GSR into my EG6 Hatch (dx) would I use a stock 92-95 shift linkage for my car, or a shift linkage for the integra? I cant find a straight answer anywhere and I used the search option.

You don't have a EG6.

You use the 94+ integra shift linkage.

motor bolts up the same, but the del sol has a hump running down the middle of the cabin of the car that the civic doesn't.

it ias actually the fact the the driving position in the del sol (i think) is a little farther back than the hatch thats why the linkage is about 4" longer.

you see, when i did my swap i already had the linkage. it acually came off of a eg6(it was a front clip). i simply bolted the motor as well as the linkage w/ no problem, then again it was a auto to manual swap so i drilled and mounted the linkage.

what linkage does the eg6 come with?
it was a gold color if that helps.

Default Re: GSR into EG6 Shift Linkage (aXhatch)

I was looking at an SiR swap, full front clip, but for that my prices were about 4k, and to get a GSR with LSD, mounts and stuff from hmortors & hasport, the total would be about 4k, maybe a bit under so i decided on GSR.

if my car isnt an EG6, as you say, then what would you call it. cuz i know i gots me an eg6. its a '93 hatch.

then is the "EG6" then is the "eg6" the si model? i see my mistake, in my original post i did put "dx" its not a dx, its a 93 teal si 1.6.
but that wouldnt be a eg6 either cuz its not dohc..

ok im cool i got an EG. no clue as to the numerical component though. but i get the idea with the EG6 mishap and am sorry i was stupid an got served.

What they mean by saying "you dont have an EG6" is that if you had an eg6, with came with a dohc vtec engine from the factory, then you would already have the correct shift linkage needed to do the conversion. You also stated its a DX, therefore not an SiR. People usually generalize an eg6 as every 92-95 hatchback, but the eg6 is a specific vin code used to denote the SiR model 92-95 hatchback which came with the b16a engine stock from the factory. Therefore an eg6 is not an American DX hatchback which came from the factory with a sohc d15b7.

I understood you, but correct chassis code usage does make a difference when explaining problems because people know what features each car had/has and can then help you with your decisions/problems.

So in the future, just say 92-95 DX hatchback. It'll be easier and cause less confusion.
