GSR bent valve, fixable?
Specs: eg hatch, gsr swap, motor is bone stock
quick story, i was at a stop light, light turns green, i start to go and the car dies. i try to turn it back on but it didnt go
i pushed it into a parking lot where i proceeded to work on it, checked to see if i was getting fuel, which i was.
pulled spark plugs, pleanty of fuel
luckily i was next to a autoparts store, bought a ignition coil because the spark seemed a little dim,
anyways after a few times of trying to turn it on i had found out my timing belt had broken some teeth and slipped,
had the car towed home.
next day installed timing belt and camshaft seals(driverside)
the car turns on but idles rough with a deep ticking noise, not a high pitch pinging noise
so most likely its a bent valve, but would a valve adjustment help at all or is it time to pull the head?
also what damage do bent valves do to the bottom block and head? thanks

Re: GSR bent valve, fixable?
im not 100 percent sure but i will give you what i think..if it is a bent valve i heard you can grind them but since they are out you should just get upgraded valve's and valve springs imo and i dont think a valve adjustment would help

Unless you're going to ITR style valves, or turbo, oem valves are fine (actually very good). OEM intake valves are all stainless and exhaust are stainless stems with the other part being inconel.
Grinding or lapping valves is only to get them to seat. A bent valve is a bent valve, it needs replaced. You can get replacements cheap.
